no windows in windowed mode

#1 Post by j-rod »

So at some point, I have lost the ability to play in a window that I can manipulate. The game will run at the resolution specified, but then will have no window GUI decoration in the borders, and I cannot move it or minimize. I have deleted my entire ToME profile directory, and downloaded a new b38 from scratch. Any ideas of something else I can try?

*bump*

Anyone with something else I can try that I am missing? It previously worked on the machine in question so I just can't figure what to try. I *may* have swapped a video card before this manifested, but it's blurry since I don't play much at work.

My guess? It's the same thing that is happening here. The short story is that the title bar is off of the top of the screen, which makes it difficult to manipulate with the mouse. Though it's somewhat annoying to do every time the game starts, I move it with the keyboard (alt+space, m, arrow keys, and after at least one arrow key press you can move the window with the mouse) to get the title bar visible.

Yep, you're probably right, I'll check that next time I feel the urge. I had tried moving the window with an alt-mouse drag, but no avail. I'll try the all keyboard method and report back. Thanks!

Resize the window at one of the visible borders, then the whole window will move down, showing the title bar.
Thats how I do it.
