[Apparent bug] Chronic crashing a few seconds after starting

#1 Post by Feena2244 »

Don't know what is causing it, game was working fine two days ago, attempted to play it today, and it crashed. At first I assumed it was a disagreement with another program, closed everything out, it continued to crash after starting. Restarted the computer, the problem persisted.

I then noticed that an update had been rolled out, downloaded and installed it, and the problem persisted. Tried clearing out save data and data from the old version that might have been causing it to no avail. I can say I'm running on Windows 7 and fairly certain I have all the requirements listed on the website. The log file in the program folder wasn't really helpful to me, but, figured it might be of help to you.

So, apparently whatever it is, is also causing my Fallout New Vegas to crash, which means it's probably just some problem on my computer that sprang up in the afternoon.

As is, I'm working on downloading an update that got rolled out for one of the display drivers, after it installs I'll check to see if that was the problem, I really hope it is, cause I'm clueless otherwise...
