Annoying resolution change dialog

Every time I start up the game, I get the "your resolution has changed, keep it?" dialog! I'm playing in 1600x900 fullscreen; why does it think it's changing resolution???
The Ed draws near! What dost thou deaux?

I have the same at 1920x1200 fullcreeen.

I would guess resolution settings are very system-dependent, so it would probably be a good idea to post as much as you can about your system.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).
