A few bugs (b36)

#1 Post by Brysos »

The mage meta magic skill (drawing a blank here the one that removes magic effects from a target) can be targeted through walls and at seemingly long range. If a mob loses a buf from getting hit by this skill it doesn't seem to rebuf itself. I used this to my advantage against a blood lich in dreadfall that was annoying the heck out of me with shadows summons no matter where I was on the level.

Which reminds me, shouldn't a mob need line of sight on you to summon shadows on you? All it takes is for a mob to have you targetted. This makes a high end vault containing a summoner like the blood lich extra difficult as you can't really go away and rest.

The mage skill dispersal shield can be targeted through walls and seemingly at longer range than it should (it shows red but still works). I think it is counted as a non hostile spell because you can cast it on the assassin lord in the rescue quest and he won't get angry until you hit him with a damage spell.

Stealth/invis mobs are maddening, if you have high enough see invis/stealth you can 'see' them on the monster list, but their glyphs appear and dissapear randomly so often I am left mousing all over the place trying to figure out where they are. I hope this is a bug, because it is tedious to find and target things like dreads when you can clearly see them in terms of the invis checks. (I play in ascii mode with backgrounds if this makes a difference).
