The Aegis hat ego gives you +.1 mastery to the tree, and +.1 mastery to the shielding talent... which I think doesn't actually do anything.

Arcane Shield is a Stone Warden tree... so it does something, just not for a class or tree that's fully implemented, yet.

Also, it can give more than .1, yeah. I've seen at least .2, and it can probably go higher.
