Equipment Cheese (SVN)

You can dump points into armor mastery, equip a piece of armor, and then pull those points back out.

I think certain talents should be non-respeccable. The only ones with respec should be talents with entirely self-contained features.

Agreed, and support for this exists. For example, "Imbue Item" talent has "no_unlearn_last = true".

Making armor training non-respeccable, while it would solve this, seems like it's more draconian than is necessary. What would be best would be if the game could refuse to let you unlearn it if you have armor that requires your previous level equipped.

Another possibly exploitable talent is mindslayer auras and shields, as they do not reset automatically. A player could get 5/5 in Kinetic Shield and Focus, activate it, then unlearn both (perhaps leaving 1 point in Kinetic Shield, though I don't think it would be necessary). The only downside is that it is now possible to remove shields as sustains, and it could not be spiked.

Sustains don't reactivate when you unlearn them (i.e., the level up dialogue will turn them off and back on, if you don't know the talent it just turns them off). I checked ;)

So it was changed in SVN for mindslayer skills? Cool.

Oh.. durt. Yeah, I'm not sure about sustains that don't auto-reset. That's a good question.
