Having a weapon equipped as a psionic focus prevents equipping a dagger in the offhand slot. In order to equip a new dagger, you have to remove both the currently equipped off-hand weapon and the weapon equipped with telekinetic grasp - needing a total of 4 moves to swap the weapon with a new one and then reequipping the third weapon.
