Activated items don't show power

#1 Post by Grey »

Previously egos and artifacts with effects that could be activated would show their power level - for instance Vargh Redemption would list it as activating for a level 2 Tidal Wave. Now it just say Tidal Wave. It's useful to have the power level to judge how effective the item will be and to compare different items.

I agree.
I even think that the full effects of the activation should be showned. For some activations it is easy to determine the effect (say illimination or phase door). But people do not always remember (or even know) what "dark tendrils", "greater weapon focus", or "juggernaut" exactly do... Especially for new players.

A similar problems happens for wands.
You can get a wand of lightning that "fires a beam of lightning". But you have absolutely no idea of its damage....

Yeah, more clarity on these items would be good.
