So, I've been playing a brawler for a while now, got to level 40 and am about to head Far East (made it through Reknor despite the mini-map bug thanks to a lot of scumming after crashes =[).
Overall, the class has been a lot of fun. A few questions, though:
A) Exploit weakness does not seem to work. When it is active and I am fighting a creature with 100% physical resist, the physical resist does not go down on the creature, and I am unable to inflict any damage.
B) Tactical Expert - Is there any way to verify that this is functional? The listed defense of my character does not ever change, regardless of how many enemies are visible.

Also, Crushing Hold doesn't seem to silence the target in most cases. At least, a choking hold hasn't prevented spells from being cast, which is what I assume 'silence' refers to.

Re: [b24] Brawler
OK, Exploit weakness works on enemies with some physical immunity, but not those with 100%. Is that as intended?
Re: [b24] Brawler
Doomed Devour Strengths doesn't reduce resistances below 100% either. I think that this is intentional, to prevent storm drakes from dying to lightning (for example).
Re: [b24] Brawler
I never tested Exploit Weakness on creatures with 100% physical resistance but I'll spawn some to check. Though I suspect the creature may have had 100% physical resist and some resist all. (But I'll check anyway).
I'll double check the rest of this as well though last time I checked Tactical Expert worked.
Crushing hold won't strangle many types of creatures, specifically undead, creatures that don't breath, and those with silence immunity (no air no strangle = no silence).

*edit*
Everything seems to be working as intended. Edited the worm that walks to have 100% physical resist and Exploit Weakness works fine (keep in mind some creatures will have physical resistance and resist all stacked).
Tactical Expert does not apply a timed effect of any kind. It's directly using the same function used to call defense on the tooltip, character sheet, and when you're actually attacked. This means that your defense will auto-update and what ever defense you're seeing with 0 mobs is your defense before Tactical Expert. Any defense you're seeing when adjacent to mobs is after the adjustment.
Crushing Hold will only silence when a "Strangle Hold" is triggered. You'll put a different debuff on the enemy in this case. Note that silence immune, undead, and creatures that don't breath are immune to Strangle Hold and instead will just get the Crushing Hold debuff.

Re: [b24] Brawler
My mistake, you're right. I misread 'tactical expert', and didn't realize that it only applies when the enemy is directly adjacent to you, not just within visible range.
The strangle hold is working correctly.
I'm still not sure what the deal was with the 100% physical resist guy -- it was a 'h' right next to the portal at the bottom of Reknor, and I couldn't do anything to it. The physical resist never went down (not sure why any other resist would have affected it? Even if it had 100% resist all, shouldn't the debuff have lowered the physical resist on a hit?). Anyway, I lured him away from the portal so that I could use it, and haven't had any other problems.
Thanks for the great class -- this has been a lot of fun. The lack of crowd control has required a shift in tactics that has been enjoyable to figure out, and it's great to have size finally matter ( I bodyslammed an ancient wyrm today, which was really satisfying ).
Does additional size increase any %s for the grapples, or does it only change whether you can grapple at all? I've got a monstrous belt on, and have been keeping the behemoth hide in storage just in case.

Re: [b24] Brawler
There's an h with 500% resist all. If you hit him with exploit weakness it will split the physical resist off so you can see it (and it displays at 100%) but you can't actually reduce it because it still has 500%. I know it's confusing. Was one of the monsters I used to test but he's a fringe case. Maybe it was a different horror but I don't think any other horror has 100% physical resist naturally.
Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying the class. I should probably reword tactical expert a bit.
As to size category, currently it just limits what you can effect. If you where a halfling you'd need two size cat items to affect great wyrms. I considered letting you grapple multiple small creatures but the logistics of it sounded difficult to code and difficult to explain.
