[b24] Crash in Reknor, is this related to mini-map problems?

There was a minimap bug, but this crash is so regular that I'm not sure it's a minimap problem.

I'm sitting in a section of Reknor where, for the first time whether or not I'm running GDB, I can take a couple steps south, maybe launch a spell or two at some orcs, and in a few turns the game crashes.

Stack trace from GDB below, hope this helps narrow down any problems. Since my crash to desktop is now very reliable, please ask me any experiments you'd like me to try. I'm running Mac OS 10.6.6.

I am also getting LOADS of crashes during tempest peak. Other zones seemed much better. It could be minimap related, but I don't think so. World map admittedly also sometimes had crashes for me.

Also it would seem that the crashes is more frequent around the "edges" of the minimap. Like if I am on the minimap (not always) and the minimap wants to draw a monster that is off. Or the other way around.

Yikes. Is there a workaround, or should I wait until b25 is released to play?

The first time I got a real crash (as opposed to an infinite loop or slowing to a crawl) for a dozen betas was in b24. Personally I've stopped playing aside from goofing off in the Arena from time to time.

Yes, I've been having crash problems with version "Mappy" in Reknor (or any large area). I have noticed that when the minimap is not big enough for the area, the minimap won't scroll with me (leaving part of the area "mapless" and me invisible). Crashes happen randomly during any action (saving, moving, scrying, etc.) when the area is too big for the minimap. Usually it's an immediate crash to desktop with no warnings or other screens. Sometimes the game freezes for a while then I get booted to desktop. Playing in a small area, such as The Maze, the map doesn't have to scroll and doesn't randomly crash.

When I'm on part of the area that the minimap won't scroll to, the game gets slower but doesn't necessarely crash. The game will crash even when I can see myself on the minimap. Anyone else notice the minimap not scrolling when you move farther?

Sometimes it takes a long time before crashes; sometimes it's after the third move. Very random. Task manager doesn't show any spikes in CPU or memory. HWMonitor doesn't show any spikes in heat (not sure if that has anything to do with this, just saying).

Also, if I Alt-Tab or try to shut down a frozen game (sometimes it just freezes, but very rarely), my cursor gets stuck in the upperleft corner and can't be moved until I completely restart the computer. Not sure if this is a new thing because I've never needed to alt-tab or shut down a frozen game before now.

I'm not sure what info I can provide that would matter, but here is my system:
OS: Windows 7 64
MoBo: NF980-G65
Processor: PII 965
Grapics card: GTX470
Memory: 4 GB DDR3 1333

I have a replicable crash in the ancient elven ruins. Load. Map is not functioning. Within 3-4 turns, non-messaged CTD.

I'm not smart about 'puters, so I don't know how to post what's going on when it crashes, but it's clockwork. Level 29 summoner, no lost lives, effectively dead. Bummer.

Same here. Random crashes in ancient elven ruins on 3rd level. Playing thalore summoner 30lvl. Though most of crashes accompanied by one-line "Segmentation fault" error, there was backtrace once:

I am getting the crash too - I have been saving my game every few turns, managed to get to lvl 3 of Reknor, but I noticed that the mini-map freezes, and then the game crashes soon after.
