[b24] digging takes an extra turn?

#1 Post by jeremyosborne »

Couldn't see if this was reported.

This doesn't happen _every_ time I dig, but more than average.

Steps to reproduce:

* Equip any dig item (seems to be dig item independent).
* Dig into a wall.
* When the digging is done (and the wall is removed) press a valid movement direction.
* If the seeming bug has kicked in: note how a turn passes, but character is not moved.

The above "wasted turn" bug seems to trigger for spell casting, movement, skills, etc... anything that would be a full action.

Perhaps this is intended, but it has gotten me into trouble a couple of times when a monster shows up right as I finish digging or when I am digging and I have to waste a full turn in order to be able to react to the mob.

Maybe it's related, but whenever I try to use a wand of teleport it always seems as if all of the monsters get to act *before* the teleport takes effect.

'U'sing any wand takes a turn. Try to avoid using wands for spells when possible, I've lost a few characters to this because I figured I could last one more turn when I couldn't.

As to the digger thing, yeah, I've noticed it happening from time to time as well. Just thought it was a refresh error or something, like when I try to make trick shots with ranged attacks using my mouse.
Having satellite internet is a lot like relying on the processes described in those RFC's for your internet. Except, instead of needing to worry about statues interrupting your connection, this time you worry about the weather. I have satellite internet. Fun, no?
