[b23] Cannot run on new computer
This is not really a bug, but I am not sure where else to post it. I just got a new computer with a fresh Windows 7 install and downloaded b23. When I run the game, it goes incredibly slowly, with the mouse being very jerky. I can create the character although it takes way longer than it should. Once the character is created I can see the TOME channel and who is joining and leaving but the game gets completely stuck on registering the character to te4 and I have to manually end the process. The character never does get registered on the site. I am sure this has something to do with a setting on my computer rather than a TOME bug as I have successfully run b23 on other computers, I just have no idea where to start on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the drivers for your video card are correctly installed, it's probably rendering in software

Re: [b23] Cannot run on new computer
I am using my computer's on-board video. It is ATI Radeon 2100. Windows was reporting that everything was installed correctly but I went out and downloaded the latest driver anyway. Installing this did not help. It still locked up at registering the character on te4.org.
Re: [b23] Cannot run on new computer
I get this too (with b23), and have got it before. I remember you (DG) trying to kind of remotely connect to my PC, but then when I reran ToME it worked fine. So far I haven't got 1 b23 char to successfully register. So I've only played off-line chars.
Which is a suggested short term fix for jhauser42... go offline, or firewall block t-engine, and you'll be able to create new chars and play them with your off-line profile, but you won't be able to upload them without a fairly big amount of trouble.

I get this in the te4log.txt:
After killing the game, the te4log.txt file outputs quite a bit further and ends with:
That word is cut like that. Not completed.
