I can barely see myself, let alone the monsters.

Actually wondering if there could be a setting in future revs to disable clouds/rain, etc?
My laptop is old and seems to slow down when these extra effects are present.

The problem with the fog effect is that it has a perverse impact on the gameplay - it only affects the player. Not the player's character, just the player himself. The computer doesn't have to squint at the screen, and computer controlled monsters still see the player's character just fine.

Lightning effects are instantenous, rain effects are discrete, but the fog effect is to much. Right now it
a) forces me to always move by mouse in order to get the "stop reason: spotted monster X" message
b) gives me headache
c) forces me to alt-tab and wait for the fog effect to dissapear.

I too would appreciate a switch to turn it off.

Then it means the fog is too thick that's all :)

And yes I added a no weather option too

DG - you rock!
(now, think we could get a bug-fix version please? The "big changes release -> bugfix release" cycle seems to be a good idea anyway.)

Holy banana! That and "not stopping upon stepping on item you once already stepped on" and this will be the best release since the end of the Ice Age!
