I cloned my Eelskin armor

Okay.. So.. I found the Skin of Many, and decided that fitted me better than the Eelskin armor.
Next comes the thought of equipping my golem with the Eelskin, to test if it's AI will use the lightning bolt activation.
And lo and behold! After I equipped my golem with the Eelskin, and switched back to my alchemist to pick up the iron mail the golem had dropped, I was surprised to see that the Eelskin was lying on the ground as well.
AND the golem is wearing one too.
So I guess, equipping the golem with artefact armor causes it to duplicate, and drop the copy on the ground. Sounds like I can make good profit there :P Or, clone my Skin of Many a few times, and imbue those with different types of gems :D

Okay, did some more testing.
It is definitly reproducable:

I found out that it is not the equipping of the armor by the golem that clones it, but rather, picking it up from the floor.
When the golem picks up the 'original' Eelskin, one is transferred to it's inventory, but it also remains on the ground.
The last few commands I gave before making the screenshot and saving, were g,g,g,g. I could just keep on picking up Eelskins.
I did notice also that it has resulted in some oddness in the golem's inventory menu: when I click the Eelskin, and select 'take off', nothing happens. When I do that a second time, it is taken off normally. The reverse is also true, for putting it back on. The first try does nothing, the second try works normally.
I did run the game in gdb, but gdb.txt has nothing to report, as the game exited normally.

I killed Subject Z today and he dropped a couple of random artifacts, and my alchemist's golem merely picked them up off the ground and ended up with an inventory full of duplicates.
