The lost merchant turned hostile on me after he stepped into my Searing Light, damned fool that he is. Then he vainly tried punching me to death, his hands becoming bloody stumps as they hit against my protective shields.

Had to turn off my chant and hymn to stop him killing himself on the damage shield. When I left the place victorious I got the achievement, and on going to Last Hope he greeted me as an old friend. Fool...
