Physics and Chemistry

First post on the forum, hoping this would be the best sub since I'm requesting info that could spoil others experience I would guess.

So, after toying around with steambutchers, I realized I have no idea about the crafting through physics and chemistry. I understand you use your APE box to break stuff down and get materials, but my questions comes down to "where to I get 'x' at?", with "x" being a type of ingredient like metal, herb, etc..

I've figured out so far that metal items give metal lumps, but where/what do I get herbs from? And what other ingredient types are their that come from breakdowns through the APE?

TL;DR: What does each item types produce when melted using the APE for tinkers

Metal items produce metal lumps of the corresponding tier.
Infusions and mindstars I believe produce herbs.

Schematics also produce herbs, in addition to Infusions and Mindstars.
