Lake Nur Insanity...

#1 Post by Delmuir »

So I got to Lake Nur at level 10 on Insane (which I've done before) and it's populated, as far as I can tell, solely with rares at level 28. WTF? I expected 21 and even 24 but why and how 28? Is that abnormal?

EDIT: WTF?!?

Okay, so I only added the extensions recently (Ashes, Embers, and Cultist) and there are, obviously, some changes. The most notable one is that Level 3 of Lake Nur on Insane is... basically impossible. The enemies are crazy overpowered.

I don't get it. The weirding beast is already insanely difficult. What is the point of this?

Lake Nur on Insanity+ is definitely a challenge and I believe it is by design. Insanity isn't supposed to be fair or beatable by most builds. Its a playground for overpowered designs or those who like to suffer! The enemies that were super dangerous before, like the Weirdling Beast, become stupid hard. On lower difficulties I usually attempt to beat the Weirdling Beast as soon as I beat the starter dungeons. On Insanity I don't even attempt Lake Nur until most of the Tier 2's are complete. For me I think of this is the first real test to see if my Insanity character is viable. You need a very solid build plus some good gear to make it past.

If it makes you feel any better Lake Nur on Madness is extra ridiculous. I commonly get one shotted by rare water imps there for 2x my max health :)
