Out of interest, I was reading up on how speed works. Looks like global speed affects every other type of speed (attack, move, weapon speed) as a general multiplier. You're just slower at everything you do when you're global speed is lowered, so to say.
So the types of speed cover attacking (bumping) and moving.
But what if you only cast talents? Shouldn't there be another speed type called "cast speed" or something like that? Since you're globally slower at everything you do, it would make sense that you also cast talents slower.
Why is there no talent cast speed?

Re: Why is there no talent cast speed?
It depends on the talent, but they actually do have a speed. If you look at any given talent, it will say "usage speed: weapon/spell/mind (x% of a turn)". So even if you use mostly talents, you can benefit from one of these speeds regardless. There are exceptions such as the vital shot prodigy which says "usage speed: standard" which means it doesn't benefit from extra speeds other than global speed.

Hm, so far I've only seen "0% of a turn" and "100% of a turn". The math doesn't seem as detailed as for the other speed types where you can exactly calculate when you're gonna get an extra turn on the enemy (or they on you).
That being said, I just noticed there's actually a "spell speed" in the character sheet. I don't know if that's what I mean or if that's the travel speed of your spells. Anyway, I guess it's not overly important (?), I was just curious.

That's casting speed, so it's what you were asking for.ElricOfMelnibone wrote:That being said, I just noticed there's actually a "spell speed" in the character sheet. I don't know if that's what I mean or if that's the travel speed of your spells.
