Maybe a Dumb Question? Has to do with the Download

Hey i just found out about this game and wanted to try it out, so i went to the download page and clicked the big Download for windows button. Now for some reason the top bar is stuck at validating file: tome-full-windows-1.6.6.zip-99.04% and the bottom bar is stuck halfway saying Validating download. What did i do wrong? Is this game no longer free? Do i need to download something else first? Do i need to put the files in a certain place on my computer? I tried the FAQ and it has nothing about this, nor did i find anything talking about this on google. I don't know if this is the right place to post this or if i should post this on the bug part of the forum. Any help would be appreciated.

Should be your browser or your antivirus acting up. Try downloading again on a different browser and see if it helps.

This is a bug with the launcher that happens occasionally with recent versions. You can either download it directly from te4.org/download (the most recent Windows Full, not the installer link up top) and unzip/run it directly without bothering with the launcher, or if that isn't working download an older version and let the launcher update it. I had this issue a few months ago and solved it by letting it update from an older version.
