Bug or intentional? Shot in same tile when resurrecting

#1 Post by Coldbringer »

I had a tragic death in the ID with my Gunslinger. He fired Vital Shot at a rare with temporal-switching talents. As the shot was heading towards the rare, he swapped spots with my Gunslinger and I got hit by my own shot and died before I could react. Asked Eidolon to return. Immediately dead again without a single turn to move once I was resurrected.

So I have several theories about what happened. I tweaked my shots to penetrate, so I guess it's possible that the shot wasn't removed from the game upon impacting me, therefore it was still there when I resurrected.

Or, since Gunslingers fire twice even with special attacks, it was the second shot that hit him.

The question I have is, is this the game working correctly as intentional design, or is it a bug? I'll know in the future, if I'm ever in a similar situation, to have the eidolon send me somewhere else if possible.

RIP, Dirty Harry the Orc Gunslinger. You were too deadly for your own good.
