how to get to the tinker cave ?

I just unlocked tinker escorts for the main campaign. I found my tinker escort in old forest and saved him.
Where is the cave now that should appear on the world map ? I already explored everything on the first continent. Is it on the second continent ?

The cave is in the northwest of the first continent, on the ice fields.

I looked on every single ice tile, its not there.
I took the Last engineer standing (talent) as rewad from the escort. Do I have to choose something else for the cave to appear ?

Do you need to pick a choice that says you want to learn more or something? I seem to recall that you have to pick a certain reward for the tinker escort to get the tinker cave in Maj'Eyal.

You have to pick "ask where they learned their craft" as your reward from the tinker escort. If you don't choose that reward, the cave won't appear on the map.

You have to spend a category point in the cave to get access to the tinker stuff, do you ?

Do you get access to everything the tinker classes have (salves, steam generators, and can you upgrade your gear with tinker crafts) ?

For the cost of one category point and 500 gold you get both tinker trees with one point in their first talent each iirc. You also get the APE (which you'll want to set as your default transmogrifyier) and you can buy some salve schematics + other tinker recipies at the same shop you bought the tree.

my question is, can you get the extra slots for your gear to put in tinker crafts(like grounding strap) ? and do you have to buy this feature in the tinker cave ?

Once tinkers are unlocked, the slots appear automatically, one per item shared with demon seeds.
