Multiple Negative Health Items

#1 Post by Steven Aus »

If you have multiple items that say won't die until -x health, do they add up? And with abilities too?

It's a pity. I got exactly -130 health from suffocating, and had a -50 and a -80 item. I was one turn away from getting to a water bubble.

Although it's possible that it already went under -130, if the healing came after the suffocation.

IIRC once you start suffocating you don't stop.

Check shops for armor of the deep, or belts of unlife before doing the water dungeon. If you don't see one, or don't want to pay for it, go attack wandering patrols in the over world. Armor of the deep is a fairly common drop from patrols, belt of unlife can be found for roughly 50 gold depending on what else is in it. Use them for the water dungeon so you don't have to breath. Makes it much easier, even if you do loose defense, the ability to rest between fights makes that place super easy.

Getting gear with + life is better than gear with going below 0 because skills that are based on health don't count the - health unless you are trying for the "that was close" achievement. It will trigger as long as your hp are 1 or lower, not only at 1hp. This is mainly for Vitality but there are other skills where having a higher max hp helps.
