Fungus Tree...
Do I have to unlock it with a category point, or is there another quest later on that will buy it for me? I did the am battle, and the high peak thing and have the locked fungus tree.
Re: Fungus Tree...
You have to unlock it.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

Re: Fungus Tree...
Oozes have the fungus tree locked and the tempest quest unlocks it.
Wyrmics have the fungus tree already unlocked and the tempest quest increases its mastery.
All other classes gain the tree, but have to unlock it.

thanks for the replies. Now if I could just stop sucking long enough to get somewhere...
Pretty sure my problem is I start to get the hang of a class, and unlock a new one, change to it without ever fully understanding the previous one, so I seem stuck.

Re: Fungus Tree...
It just takes time to learn the game, what the rare monsters and bosses do that is dangerous and how to counter it mostly. Hope you're doing normal adventure mode to start with.

Re: Fungus Tree...
I played normal roguelike for the first month, recently I wimped out and started doing adventure, but on nightmare. may have to completly wimp out and do adventure normal, but will that teach me bad habits?
Re: Fungus Tree...
Normal adventure mode is the base line for the game, so don't feel bad about it.
The limited extra lives is intended to give you some protection from randomly generated nastiness and it also gives you the opportunity to experiment with a different strategy when you die.

Nightmare is actually more difficult than normal now, so yes, Normal/Adventure is the standard mode, I wouldn't feel too bad about it. And no, it won't teach you bad habits unlike exploration mode.Skavies wrote:I played normal roguelike for the first month, recently I wimped out and started doing adventure, but on nightmare. may have to completly wimp out and do adventure normal, but will that teach me bad habits?
