Goofed my category point into useless talent

Can I somehow revert this or cheat one category point in my current run? I wasn't going to use my point on that category but it seems like I did it accidently and didn't notice until now.

Did you already close the window where you assigned the category point?

If not: Just remove it the same way you would remove a skill or stat point.
If yes: Not 100% sure, but it doesn't seem like category points can be reassigned as they change your character permanently.

Certain addons can grant you extra cats. BECAUSE THERE ALWAYS NEED TO BE MORE CATS!!! meow.
(Unfortunately, you cannot add addons to an already ongoing game.)

on a more serious note, you i believe you could edit the save file to add an extra one, although i thought it rather hard to miss the text turning yellow. If you don't know how to, you can try to run with it, or just kill the character and restart.

Maybe not much relevant to changing the fact, but could you write a bit more on that topic? what class, and the category you spent the point on? what was the UI you were using at the time?

My precious category point went into technique/combat techniques :C

I was using the standard UI, it was definitely 100% my fault and not some kind of bug.

You might already know this, but it's not locked in until you close the skills page. You can still remove it even after you clicked it.

Interesting about category points being different, because skill points can be removed (at least the last 3) and IIRC prodigies can be changed too after selecting them until you gain another level... might be wrong on that one.
