Fireflash suicide bug?

#1 Post by aalhitennf »

Is there a known bug with archmages fireflash that makes you die by suicide? Just died on my lvl 13ish archmage again (maybe third time) when i cast fireflash, i'm clearly out of its range (sometimes i even move more away to be sure), and i somehow kill my self with it. Or is there a something i'm missing? How is this possible?

Would you mind posting the log at the time of death? It might help us better ascertain what exactly happened.

I don't think so but i'll check that

This might have happened but one time i'm sure i moved one tile away from the damage radius so there should've been 1 tile between me and the explosion, and i died.

But i have a theory. I may have been killing myself when i fireflash into darkness, and there may have been wall that i dont see and i end up dying.

for log, you are loking for te4_log.txt i believe, in the first game folder.

...

yyyeah, this is why you either get vision/earth's eye, or light up everything.
the bright staves are good for that, so is... summertide vial was it?

and get a lantern of tracking (or maybe a hat, i think it can roll there too), because why not. knowing where your enemy is, is important. knowing what it can do, before you even meet, even more so.

i got burning star and vision now, so much easier.

e. and while posting this i got killed by The Master. Ofc rng gave me lvl 38 one... and i even got it down to 10% after first resurrect. Well at least i unlocked wildfire on that run.

unless you are in the infinite dungeon, rng doesn't have much effect on enemy lvl.
if i am not wrong, it is an equation, that start with your lvl at the time of entering the first zone of a dungeon, and then adding a percent, and a flat value.

the percent and flat value depend on the difficulty, and the final value cannot go above or below, the min-max lvl of the zone.

ok, wiki said it's 23-35 so i tought its kinda weird. and about the fireflash i guess i've been shooting unseen walls. have to be more careful from now on.
