*some minor spoilers about late game content*
I made the mistake of putting the jeweled eye into the automaton. It was on normal, my character was close to lvl 40, back from the East exploring leftover content. FIgured I could handle it. The extra boss in the sandworm layer died very easily.
So I start fighting Garkuls mechanical victim, didn't pay attention to the damage log. All of a sudden I am dead in one turn. He did 1,600 damage in one turn. 4 hits of 400 fire damage. Okay, I have 2 lives left, NP, just go back there, teleport away, leave level. Shoot he moves fast and has rush, dead again. No option on Eidolon plane to leave this area. Great. Go back, phase door away, running, try to use recall wand,, nope it doesn't work. You're completely trapped in that stupid golem graveyard. There was a stairs down to a bonus underground level, would I have been able to recall from there?
So, what do you even do? Fire affinity and maxed fire resist? he was doing perfectly 400 fire damage in multiple hits each turn so I'm guessing he had fire resistance penetration? So I'm guessing multiple items with Fire Wards is the way to go, then you have to beat him fast once those are gone, maybe a top notch tier 5 torque that reduces fire damage by hundreds to have going while the wards cool down to be used again.
RIP Fel, level 37 Skeleton Reaver. Your deeds will be remembered.

Any way to escape the golem?

Typically, people only fight that guy after officially winning the game.
Not sure if you can recall out of the underground level. It also tends to be densely packed with baddies (if it's the one I think it is) and quite dangerous.

You can't recall, but the exit to the world map should still be functional.

There are several different ones, Drakes, bandits, spiders. Few others I think. I had cleared it the first time through so it would have been empty had I been able to get to it quickly enough.Majestix wrote:Typically, people only fight that guy after officially winning the game.

If this had been a non undead character I'd have had a movement infusion and got the f*** out of dodge.
