I am playing as temporal warden. Even when I switch equipment sets so that a melee weapon is wielded, clicking on an adjacent enemy will attempt to fire an arrow, even if quiver is empty. I find this incredibly annoying as I am playing on a laptop with no number pad, so moving diagonally with a key to attack is annoying. Yes, it attacks with melee weapon if I use movement key, but on mouse click, it always tries to fire an arrow.
Is there any solution to this?
Mouse click always attempts to fire arrow, even if empty?

Yes, this bugged me as well. It's been a little while since I played, but I believe if you right click your shoot icon you can unbind the left click from it. Either that or it's in hotkeys.

What I generally do with a TW is that mouse is always bound to melee attacks and I shoot to fire an arrow. It avoids surprises...

Well, I did find a solution finally. Apparently, the mouse click is bound to the shoot function by default.. it can be disabled by going into the skill menu and right clicking "shoot". So I bound attack to the left mouse click and "shoot" to the 1 hot key. So now I double-tap 1 to shoot the nearest enemy, and click when i want to melee.
I hope this helps someone who has a similar issue. It would be better if it is handled in a more intelligent way. Left-clicking should be to attack with whatever default weapon you have equipped, not just "shoot", but I guess there is no way for that unless someone updates the code..
