Wrath of the Woods and Summoners...

#1 Post by Delmuir »

I'm trying to figure out if and how this works together.

1. If I summon a creature and then cast WotW, does it affect the summon's defense and damage? My testing suggests that it might actually make it worse… not sure but after about 100 runs in the training area and against real enemies, it seems like the damage is actually nerfed a little.

2. Use WotW and then summon a creature… this seems to work fine but it's kind of hard to tell as damage is all over the place anyway.

Can anyone confirm if it does or does not affect summon damage and if it does, is my observation in #1 completely wrong?

Summons have the same damage modifiers you have for elements/all. So, if you have +10% all damage and an additional +30% fire damage, all summons will have +10% all/+30% fire. If you activate Meditation before this, though, they have -40% all (+10 normally, -50 meditation)/+30% fire. They do not inherit non-elemntal damage, such as +10% vs. living.

In other words, activate WotW before summoning anything. They'll get the damage bonus. If you activate it after the summon, it will do nothing for them-their stats are set when summoning and not affected afterwards. (Excepting Rage.)
I'm not crying. I'm offering a sacrifice to DarkGod in hopes he'll show favor to me.

It hasn't worked yet.
