Elemental Surge + Summoners

#1 Post by elboyo »

Do minions inherit any benefit from this Prodigy?

If they do, will I receive the bonuses or will the minion?

Obviously, Through the Crowd is good for a Summoner, but I've been having trouble deciding on my second Prodigy.

Most of the defensive ones seem unnecessary even on Nightmare difficulty and the global speed boost seems like overkill with Frantic Summoning.

Any thoughts? It should be mentioned that I am a Yeek.

Minions won't get the benefit.

Eye of the Tiger could be useful.

I felt that while Eye of the Tiger could be a possibility, I can already reset like 6 wild-gift talents with one ability. Also, since it limits the cooldown reduction to once per turn, I will get almost no benefit from it when I use Frantic Summoning.

Unless there is a tooltip issue and the once per turn is actually once per action.

It is once per turn, and it does sort of conflict with Frantic Summoning. On the bright side, since most summons roll to crit twice, your chances of triggering it are high even with <100% crit. If we're introducing the concept of "necessity" or "not overkill", then by that criterion none of the prodigies are useful because Summoners don't need prodigies in order to succeed. But really you can always think of situations where a lot of these prodigies could come in handy. They probably won't happen, but if you're looking for a prodigy that will save your life multiple times a run then your standards are too high.

Temporal Form. Gives pin, stun and blindness immunities to your summons, and Anomaly Rearrange can be surprisingly useful (sometimes hilariously useful) at times.
