does aegis shielding affect barrier from light tree?

Yes. Also runes of shielding and the rune of reflection.

All of those are 'damage shields' which the info for Aegis / Shielding ought to mention.

It would make more sense to change Barrier to say that it generates a damage shield.

Yeah, absolutely.

The effect should say "damage shield" but if the talent doesn't also say it, that's bad.
