overlapping stuns

If an enemy is stunned with turns remaining, and you use a new stun, and they shrug it off, it clears the initial stun (even if it had turns left). Is that intentional?? it sucks :'(

Even if they don't shrug off the new stun - it replaces the current one EVEN IF THE DURATION IS LOWER. Which I agree sucks - but it's not exactly a new issue so I fear it's intentional, sorry.. :(
