Mayida the Thief

So I'm not actually that new of a player, but this little lady confused me.

Mayida the Thief facts:

1. She has the appearance of a randomly generated elite, and yet I've seen in two different games now.
2. She killed me both games. She is ridiculously powerful.
3. She popped out of chests both times.

Is all of this intentional? If so, it needs to be fixed.

It happens. Not entirely sure what you mean but that behaviour is intentional.
The only thing I find funny is that you meet her twice in such a small timeframe (assuming short since you remember name).
Would like to know if she was actually the same, having the same talents and stuff, not just the name.

Or do you mean she had the simple people lining, in which case it must have been just pure bad luck getting the same rare mob. If it had the so called boss lining with some decorations in the purple lining then it was a unique set in stone, in which case getting the same mob is intentional, but still bad luck meeting her again so soon. I'm rambling again, not making any sense.

Actually it's nice to see that a unique actually kills someone. Most of the uniques in the game are just free xp and loot, being too easy to be a real threat.

I struggle to tell elites, bosses, etc. because I'm colorblind. I think the banner around her was fancy.

It actually was a few weeks ago. I just remember it because it was so ridiculously powerful - killed me in two or three turns.

There is no fixed enemy called "Mayida the Thief." Sounds like you just ran into two different rare Thieves that happened to get the same randomly-generated name (or at least close enough that you remember them as having the same name).

Chest bosses can be nasty.
Being shut in a chest makes them very grumpy.

Just today I actually met a boss unique thief in Maze box. Was a nasty little bugger. Name wasn't Mayida, but something really close. Mayeda or something iirc.
Remembered this thread when I saw the thief so I grabbed a screenshot. Will post it on the morning when I get back to computer.
