spell and attack speed

#1 Post by comrade raoul »

Let's say I have 150% spell speed and 200% attack speed. I use Shadowstep (a spell that takes the form of a melee attack). Do I take 2/3, 1/2, or 1/3 of a turn to do this?

Attacks that are part of a talent are all rolled into the speed of the talent, even if there is more than one. If the talent is marked as "is spell", then it will all take place in the time of a single spell action using spellspeed. If it's marked as a mind talent, then mindspeed, and summons use sommonspeed. Talents in the Technique category probably should use combat speed, but there's a bug right now where it's using your unarmed speed. (It should be fixed in the next update, but I've made an addon in the meantime.)

Showstep has none of the flags and isn't in the Technique category, so it will use exactly one turn, modified only by your global speed. It doesn't have the is_spell flag, so it isn't actually a spell and I assume Zigur won't care if you have this talent (though they may hate you for your mana pool or other spell talents—I haven't looked at that mechanic yet).
