Oh, so using the debug menu to win the game is legit?

Well, using dev mode invalidates your save. :P

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that stuff like debug menus/debug tools/cheat codes aren't allowed. So it should be rephrased like

-If the in-game feature exists with clear intent to bypass intended gameplay (cheat codes, debug menus, debug tools, savefile editors), it's not allowed.
-If it's anything else and it's not 100% clear, then it's allowed.

Inevitably this stuff comes down to community decision, though - For example, if you use a glitch to access an otherwise inaccessible debug feature, is it allowed or banned? That will differ per game and per community.

Anyone mind to post some of QoL addons everyone was talking about on the first page? I've never used ones before but don't want to give me an unfair advantage at this point since it would make all my prior attempts meaningless, so I always hesitated to install some.

Zomnibus, Quick Drown addon, Mex's start in LH and ignore race/class unlocks are the common ones.

Zomnibus: https://te4.org/games/addons/tome/zomnibus-addon-pack
Quick Drown: https://te4.org/games/addons/tome/quick-drown-npcs
LH start: https://te4.org/games/addons/tome/mex-lasthopestart
Ignore R/C: https://te4.org/games/addons/tome/ignor ... lass-locks
Probably don't need quick drown or LH start on difficulties below Insane but whatever. Some people might consider Zomnibus cheaty because you can ignore patrols but honestly patrols are dumb and need to be reworked/removed.

And although not QoL here is another great addon that should be part of every game

Verbose enemies: https://te4.org/games/addons/tome/verbose-enemies

This add-on changed my life (because I'm too lazy to inspect everything all the time and even forget to check my own buff/debuff sometimes) :
https://te4.org/games/addons/tome/neka_qol01

Darkgod even said some of it might be included in base game.

Other that that, Zomnibus that Micbran already said is the only one I use so can't recommend other.
I write guides and make addons too now, apparently

You can go here for a compilation of everything I wrote, plus some other important stuff!

Includes general guides (inscriptions, zone, prodigies), and class guides (Demo, Anorithil, Bulwark, Zerker, Sblade)

Thanks for the fast replies! Probably gonna try out nekas QoL and verbose enemies first. Do addons only work on new saves?

I never understood why patrols are in this game anyway, they seem out of place and serve no real purpose except being a big nuisance. Though I have to admit I died quite a few times to those when wandering around the map not paying any attention. They taught me to always watch my surroundings in this game.

Yes, so you'll have to start a new character. There is a way to add them to old saves but there's probably no point in that.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I like them for the extra challenge they provide. If you have an OP character who is steamrolling the campaign and want to test them against deadly opponents, it can be solid preparation for what you might face towards the end of the game. In EOR it's an effective way to farm the vast quantities of resources (voratun and goldleaf) needed to make artifact tinkers. Or if you have an equipment slot that needs an upgrade, you get a lot of tier 5 purple items that can be very nice.

I like how scary it is too! Nothing gets you excited like near death experiences. And the satisfaction of crushing the patrols is huge. Zigur, please!

I made this addon so it's no longer necessary to scum for escorts, unless you need more than one for some reason.
