yeah for high peak you'll always want to be super careful, it's a very notable difficulty spike and ideally you'd want to avoid fighting anything at all (corruptor is a super good example of this since you can always survive a turn of stairboss hits due to bones and can swap places instantly)
despite playing on insane i've never seen elandar + argoniel get skills too awful, but i don't have too many wins to tell since i only started playing a couple months ago. they're very managable with their base skills only.

I was corrupter. By bosses, I meant the final sorcerers, got hit with a random teleport into a pack of drakes which took out all my shields in one turn and killed meHempel123 wrote:high peak is pretty intense and some bosses are just insanely strong; especially if they counter your champ/equip. Avoiding some of them can be advisable. I am a pretty stubborn when it comes to leaving bosses behind and kill myself frequently by trying to kill everything (e.g. I struggle to ignore Dark Crypt on insane...). Yet I learned my lesson at high-peak and try to avoid everything that looks too scary with mobility/vision.
Don't get discouraged. Dying is part of the game.![]()
What class did you play?

Bear in mind you don't have to kill stair guardians if you feel you can't. When I did a nightmare run, one of them had so much hp and a high level of vitality that I couldn't do enough damage quickly enough to kill it (though it was no threat offensively), so I had to just walk around it and take the stairs.
