If I have a cap of 70% resistance but I have stacked 100% resistance... and my opponent has 50% resistance penetration, how does that work? What then if I also have affinity?

Will the resistance penetration reduce my resistance down to 35% or 50%? What about resist all in addition? Does the affinity work off of the initial amount?

This plus this answers most of your question.

The part that remains, and its a good question, is whether stacked resists over the cap get capped before respen is applied or gets reduced by respen before being capped.

The text seems to imply the latter, but it would be nice to hear from someone who knows.
