Possible to add tinkers to non-tinker class in EoR?

Dumb question, as per the title. Playing the Embers campaign, is it possible to unlock tinkering on a non-tinker class like it is in the base campaign? If so, are the requirements the same? (500 gold and a cat point?)

There's a shop in the orc starting town that'll do it for 100 (?) gold and no cat point.
After all, tinkering is the whole point of the campaign.
