Where to go?
Newbie here, looking for some guidance on where to go. I'm playing normal difficulty, and have a level 22 Bulwark with some pretty nice drops so far.
My main issue is, where to go to keep leveling. I've cleared all of the level 1 and level 7 dungeons, and am now working on the ones that list a level 15 minimum. I cleared one (Ruined Dungeon?), but everywhere else I go, is a bit beyond my chars ability. I don't see anything re-spawn, so I'm not sure where I should go. Is there anyplace I may have overlooked?
Thanks!

Re: Where to go?
You have a few options.
Have you been to the Hidden Compound? It has a bunch of yaech slavers inside, and you can play a game to win a really good ring. It spawns randomly somewhere on the map - just go look for it, you'll find it eventually. Looks like a door in a cave.
There is also the Unknown Tunnels, where you can save a merchant from a gang of assassins, which will pop up randomly as you explore the world. It'll put up a dialog prompt - you want to go inside. The merchant is valuable later in the game.
Golem Graveyard is usually a good source of some quick XP and good loot from chests if you're brave. Don't mess with the big one in the middle.
If you have good blight resistance, the Mark Of the Spellblaze can be profitable, but if you don't, then skip it. Come back later.
At some point soon, at or after level 24, you'll also get a popup for a crypt area. Most players skip that, it's dangerous, but there are very interesting things inside if you brave it. Don't say I didn't warn you.
If you haven't yet gone to the Lake of Nur at the end of Old Forest, go there! There's a cool thing at the end. Also a terrible boss. Turn off your sustains.
You can also go to the Temporal Rift in Daikara:3 but be careful. The first area makes you move at 33% speed. Try to let enemies come to you.
If you find the Ruined Halfling Complex near Zigur, defeating a unique enemy there will open up another area, the Conclave Vault, nearby.

Been looking everywhere for it. No luck yet.PseudoLoneWolf wrote:You have a few options.

Finished.

OK, good hint. I read about the nasty in the middle, and thought the whole level was like that. Will check it out.

Just barely escaped a fight with the boss there. Nasty.

Is that the New Hope Graveyard? I got that one, and died in there, at 22. Will have to level some more.

Daikura was kicking my behind at 18. Level 3 I think. I'll try it again now.

Did both of those.

Thanks for the tips!

The New Hope graveyard is something else, with another cool thing inside. If you beat the boss you get a class unlock..... I think. But that one is dangerous too. It has powerful undead inside. The crypt that I was talking about has mostly blood mages and blight damage, same deal as the Spellblaze.
Let slip the toast of war.

It's tied to having certain lores with you when you kill the boss.PseudoLoneWolf wrote:The New Hope graveyard is something else, with another cool thing inside. If you beat the boss you get a class unlock..... I think.

If you cannot find the Hidden Compound, then you did not search hard enough
.
Seriously though, there are areas in Maj'Eyal overworld map that are accessible only by diagonal movement, and as such are easily overlooked. The auto-explore command (by deafult "z" key, I believe) works on the world map the same as it does inside dungeons.
One dungeon was not mentioned - the Ancient Elven Ruins, which are an optional dungeon generated in every game, but in a random place (similarly to the Hidden Compound). These can be very tough, and unless you feel confident or exploring, I would stay out until later.
And if you have not yet visited the bottom of Lake Nur, go there and defeat the (scary) boss. The rewards are _very_ worthwhile in the long run.

Re: Where to go?
Yeah like Zicher said, get in the habit of using Auto-explore, not just in dungeons but on the world map. It will help you discover places you missed.

Re: Where to go?
I actually had used auto-explore on the main map. Still hadn't found the hidden compound. Maybe it doesn't have the "sparklies" that unexplored dungeons usually have? It would be easy to miss in that case.
PS - finally found it, up across the ice in the north, pretty hard to find.
PPS - auto-explore no longer works in the wilderness. Just pops me between whatever two "interesting" tiles (i.e. dungeons) are nearest to where I'm at.

I can't recommend the Go To Landmark addon highly enough. You'll never lose and/or forget map locations again!
