Was the Weirdling Beast buffed or something?

Hi there, folks,

I'm playing an Oozemancer and I just got to the Sher'Tul fortress to face the Wierdling Beast.

Now, I've never had trouble with this monster on any of my characters, but he absolutely wrecked my oozemancer, which was shocking because the oozemancer has thus far been one of the stronger characters I've played.

The Weirdling Beast dispelled all of my sustained talents (5 of them) whenever they were active, froze me, stunned me, confused me, pinned me, healed himself regularly and kept pain suppression (45% damage reduction) up most of the time.

Like I said, I've never had trouble with the Weirdling Beast before, and I've certainly never seen him pack a deep bag of tricks like this. Was he buffed or something?

Sounds like a fairly normal experience with the weirdling beast.

by the time you are strong enough to not instanttly die to high tier horrors in nur weirdling beast should be no threat unless you absolutely need your sustains to do anything

e: go in with 1 sustain, wait for Devourer, then kill him while it's on CD

I've had that thing go nuts on my characters a few times too.

If you try to rush in there at level 15 or so it's extremely dangerous. If you wait until about 20-25 it goes smoothly. But now with the new level scaling that may not be the case anymore
