Fun and games with profile file locations

So I tried some unholy experiments involving both the steam- and non-steam-versions of Tome and Dropbox.
Long story short, the non-steam-launcher lets you change the location of your profile-data (the T-Engine folder). After I almost lost my complete progression, I'd like to change it back, but the non-steam-launcher won't work anymore. There should be a config in the steam-version somewhere where the location is saved, can I edit it, and if so, where is it?
