Can't find Hidden Compound on World Map

#1 Post by SlackBastard »

Hi. No Hidden Compound on the map of Maj'Eyal.
I've had a really good search - in all the mountain niches and forest clearings and along the coast.

So I had a poke around in the save files. I found some files that suggested it was placed. Maybe it's surrounded by trees or mountains.

Is there anything I can do to make it accessible?
I could enable cheat mode, but that mark the character as having cheated, wouldn't it?

If you're feeling real ballsy you can always autoexplore on the overworld map. Wouldn't suggest this unless you're friendly with Zigur. That being said, there are some parts of the map that don't look to be accessed, but they actually can, the tiles just get in the way. Usually you have to diagonally move to them.

The character isn't Zigur friendly (Shadowblade) but I might try this if no other suggestions come along.

I got ambushed a few times in my manual search anyway.

Thanks

Perhaps you may find this map helpful.

The Hidden Compound is placed randomly each game. The locations of Ancient Elven Ruins, Ruined Dungeon, Golem Graveyard, Hidden Compound on the map are just a few of the possible locations - you also check the northeastern-most corner covered in snow, the little area northeast of Lumberjack Village, or the little area in the exact center between Norgos Lair and Halfling Ruins.

I found it. I thought I'd seen all the hidden little glades on the map, but I've never seen this one before.
It's directly between Daikara and the tunnel to Daikara. You go NE from the westernmost of the two
