Spells that perform weapon attacks

Answered and solved, RNG is a joker
Since some talents are spells that perform weapon attacks, can both the spell cast and the performed weapon attacks crit ? Or can only one part crit , and if so, which one ?

Edit: I just realizde I had a Doombringer I could test this with. His spells could crit but those crits did not affect the damage output, only the physical crits did. I take it spell crits only work when actual numbers are involved, and not percentages ?

Edit2: After hitting the dummy for a while i noticed something odd, whenever my Draining Assault spell would crit the numbers of my Incinerating Blows(i think it's this one) passive dealt critical damage in one of the two performed attacks, BUT only if I wear the Fearfire Mantle at the time the first critical spell cast occurs. Following critical spell casts would apply the crit multiplier even if i took off the mantle. Resting and starting over without the mantlle does not produce those crits. Which of the two attacks got the multiplier depended on where in the order of things happening the critical spell cast would occur.

Does this make sense to anybody, because to me it doesn't. Gonna post it under bugs later if nobody can tell me what I'm missing here.

incinerating blows? isn't this the PASSIVE, that causes the doom bringer to make small explosions? because that's an "on hit", not a weapon spell.

think like arcane combat. it causes a separate effect that has its own crit chance, separate from the weapon, because its entirely separate talent, that is triggered by hitting enemies.

But why does it only gain the critical power when i wear the fearfire mantle ?

critical power, as in ability to crit, or as in the crit power is increased from 150% to something bigger?
because i have no idea not hat one. i do not own ashes.

but feafire mantle is an artefact, that i am pretty sure did not see in vanilla, so it might have some hidden interaction.
loads of artefacts do, although, not hidden usually.

As in ability to crit.
Apparently the RNG was having some fun messing with me, I hit the dummy for over 20 minutes before i posted, but now after loading the character again the passive crits without the mantle too.

Skills that say "does X% weapon damage" are, without exception, using native weapon crits.
