anti-magic forces?

#1 Post by ghostwolf »

Hey, can anyone help me figure out why some of my powers are deactivating when no enemies are nearby? I keep getting messages like this:

Basalt deactivates Stone Skin.
Stone Skin has been disrupted by anti-magic forces!

This is occurring with my Stone Skin and Shards powers. Just started after I cleared Kor'Pul.

check your gear.

if it has "powered by arcane disruption forces", then it is going to interfere with your magic.
spells will fail to cast, and sustains will randomly turns off, for as long as you have one equipped.

edit.
its not equipped right now, but you have a cleansing amulet of constitution. did you by any chance equip it before for the stat bust?
cleansing rough leather cap of streangth, yeah another stat gear.

that must be it.

He does have arcane disrupting items but in his inventory; none of those are wielded/worn.

That is the message you need to look out for. You equipped an item powered by anti-magic forces. This gives you the Antimagic effect, which reduces your spellpower and gives a random chance for spells to fizzle and sustains to deactivate. Said debuff should show up on the right side of your screen, so look out for that.
What you need to do is look at your items and figure out which one is powered by anti-magic forces, then take that off to get rid of the antimagic effect.

Oh, and you should have got a popup when you first equipped this anti-magic item, though I think it might be worded a bit confusingly.

It turned out to be a cleansing helm. I missed it looking through my gear like three times, and found it before this post was approved.
