Should summoners have meditation on at all times?

Does meditation have any negative consequences for summoners, who don't really do any damage themselves? Does it nerf their summons in any way?

Summons inherit your damage mods, so it will reduce the damage of your summons by half.

there is a jelly summon that when taking hits, restore your eqi.

when i was playing summoners, i ignored it, because i was bad and couldn't be bothered with summoning them... and because dragons.

but they do make the meditation unnecessary, and the on rest eqi restore should be good enough too, so you dont need to have it actually active.

Really? So if you stacked fire damage your ritch flamespitter can go apesh!t? Or physical damage for the other ones?

That's my understanding. They inherit some others stats as well I believe, but not many. Possibly damage penetration.
