Hornet Stingers

#1 Post by ADOMFAN »

I'm using Hornet Stingers. The text says +45 crippling poison, yet I never see poison damage or "crippling" when I hit a monster. Even after I hit a monster, I click on the monster and check his stats... no poison is active. I would think something should indicate poison or damage.

Can someone explain what's going on? Are the stingers working? Should I use a different ammo?

Thanks!

1) how many times have you shot it?

2) are you sure your target wasn't poison or nature resistant?

3) i think poison can be resisted with saves.

I've shot many monsters and still nothing. Maybe it's bugged?

Anyone use this ammo besides me?

Just tested, they aren't bugged. No idea what the issue could have been.
<astralInferno> poor stunt
<astralInferno> you suffer so that others may suffer in the intended way

It's been a while, but in case the OP is still around: on_hit and on_kill effects associated with ranged weapons currently have a raft of bugs - there's an addon dedicated to fixing them (which DG is merging into the main branch next version).

I would assume the OP's issue was caused by having an on_hit effect on the bow that was overriding the hornet stingers.
