How do I increase VIM?

#1 Post by ADOMFAN »

Playing a Shalore Bloodmage and my VIM is so low it's difficult to use my "magic". One spell can take 50% of my VIM. I have to work hard to keep my VIM above 0. I understand that you regain VIM by killing things or by equiping items, but I'm talking about increasing my base VIM stat.

Can I put points in Wisdom, or what? Is there any way to increase it besides the ways listed above. I know there is a skill, but bloodmages do not have access to that ability. :(

If you don't have the talents for it, equipment (there's occasionally stuff that increases max vim) and leveling are your only options. All wisdom does is increase the amount of vim you get per kill.

From what I recall, blood mages passively cast from HP if they don't have enough vim, so you should be able to keep spamming once your vim dries up, it'll just hurt.

Might want to remove a few Sustained abilities that set aside a portion of VIM
"You could skip it, i think it drops 0 xp and 1 copper [at most], you are better off selling oxygen to beggars to become rich."

if you are playing bloodmage, the class from a mod, then:
-as said above, blood mages have a passive blood casting.
-bloodmage has a staff talent called "bloodspear", wich grands you x vim on every melee attack.

if you actually meant the vanilla class "corrupter", then:
-you have a spell called "drain", it will give you vim equal to 20% of the damage done.
-wilfull torment increase your max vim.
-vimsense may not seem powerfull at first and is kind of expensive, but if you add the t3 talent, you will get some vim every time you are attacked. if attacked by multiple enemies, it can even refill your vim bar from none to full in a single turn.

vim in general:
-spells that kill something are refunded, although only once (per cast).
-every time you kill something you receive 10th of your will worth of
-some items give you vim on crit.

wisdom? what wisdom? this is tome, there is no wisdom here, will power is the only thing that matters!
