Under what circumstance would I want a Primal Infusion?

My understanding of infusions is that you would want a relatively narrow range of status cleanses on them. If I am confused, I want to be sure I'm cleansing mental, not cleansing that silly Insidious Poison that's dealing 12 damage/turn.

I'm just wondering because I'm obviously not the best player in this game, so I wonder if I'm missing something. It seems to me that what should be the most powerful wild infusion is, in fact, the weakest, contrary to other artifacts like the Rune of Reflection which is obviously great for magic users.

You might want it either for the afiinity, or when you can clear mundane status effects by some other way (conditioning, healing, etc.)
It's pretty bad.

No, you're right, you're caught all weirdness of primal Infusion.
You can look, but you can't touch lol.

How about when you already have two Wild infusions and would like another?
Or in situations when you only have one debuff and you want to cure it, and still have your Wild ready for later.

I use Primal infusion with my characters and like it. Yes if you're hit with multiple status effects simultaneously it may clear the weaker ones randomly instead. But having the flexibility to remove any of the 3 types is great when typically you are only affected by one at a time. There are other items you can use if you're in a place/fighting somethings that hits you with multiple status ailments at the same time.

Primal infusion is terrible. The not targeted status removal is a problem. Its cooldown is longer than most wild infusions. And, except if you have 200%+ healing mod or your resistances already at 70%, it is generally worse than good wild infusions that can frequently give 40% resist all.
