Save not showing after enabling Steam cloud saves

I had a game in progress under 1.3 (with steam cloud saving disabled by default). I just enabled could saving, and could no longer see the save. After disabling cloud saving again, I still couldn't see it. How do I retrieve the save, and how do I retroactively activate cloud saves, so that this save goes up on the cloud?

Enabling Steam saves corrupted my game, such that major characters (Aeryn) didn't appear in Gates of Morning, causing my game to reach a dead end.

I'd therefore recommend not enabling Steam saves until they fix whatever problem you have.

Since I just did something very similar to what you did, I can verify that rebooting the computer does enable the Steam saves.

Well, that sucks bigtime. Never had any problems with cloud saves under 1.2.5.
