How can I disable the "Stroll through easy zone" feature?

Only a few days into the game, and I really enjoy it, but my current character met her first death in the 3rd level of the "Heart of the Gloom" at the hands of the Withering Thing and its shadow minions. I tend to clear things from the ground up, and was hoping there was an option to disable the instant jump to the end of the zone.

I don't remember if it's an option in the vanilla game, but in Options, there might be an option labelled "Skip to End of Zone", which is on by default, and activates when the game thinks you're a high enough level.

All you'd have to do is turn it off.

That is an addon in 1.2.5, but will be available as a choice in 1.3.0

Yeah, right now you must use an addon, but in 1.3 the choice will be offered at the start of the zone.
