Oozing horror grapple?
So I am playing an Anorithil for the first time on nightmare adventure and am rolling right along, doing pretty well. Level 17 in the Lake of Nur, and I am just getting completely smashed by Oozing horrors, and their grapples. As soon as they use it on me, I am dead. I even have 2 shielding runes. I understand that grapple is pretty strong as I have a Brawler and grapple completely wrecks anything I put it on. I have lost 3 lives to these damn things already. I don't intend for this to be a complaint, I honestly would like to know if there is a way to counter this attack. Once I get grappled I am unable to use any heals, or shielding runes. The only thing I can use are infusions.

We had a thread, over in general discussions, a while ago. Worst Enemies in the Game. Oozing Horror made it to most people's top offender. The advice boiled down to "Avoid at all costs, if you're a Caster". Not the most exciting, of course... But it let's you survive.

Their grapples can be negated and escaped, but yeah, it's ugly.
If you are ONLY grappled, then you can use a Physical effect clear (Wild infusion, Heat Beam rune, etc.) to clear ONE of their two grapple effects: you can either regain the ability to walk away (which will break the Silence effect), or you can regain the ability to cast (and teleport yourself the hell out of there, by spell or rune or whatever).
You can also put on gear to give yourself Knockback immunity, which prevents the grabber tentacle from pulling you in and prevents you from being grappled in the first place.

Torque of clear mind (use just before you come within sight of them) + Jumpgate. Solved the problem for me.

You should have 5/5 Providence by level 17. Just use it before you get grabbed. Unless you mean you're getting grabbed straight out of autoexplore, in which case yeah, that sucks and you may have to forgo autoexploring for Lake of Nur. Usually you get at least one turn before they grab you though.
